The Rubicoin team want to achieve one common goal - to help people become confident and successful investors. We all care deeply about our products and our customers and work hard to ensure that comes across in everything we do.

Our Co-Founders

(and good friends)

Emmet Savage

Chief Investor & Co-Founder

Emmet’s passion is the stock market. Emmet recently had his personal portfolio professionally audited and achieved a 24% annual return for more than a decade -- that’s over triple what the S&P 500 returned.

Emmet’s first stock was Dell Computers, but it's not his favourite any more! That honor goes to Tesla, who are producing user-centric products for a global customer base. As companies go, Tesla’s journey has only begun. New cars and solar energy solutions will continue to keep this investment as future-relevant as they come.

John Tyrrell

COO & Co-Founder

John’s mission in life is to achieve simplicity through technology. He believes investing grows long term wealth and wants Rubicoin to create the simplest technology solution so that investing can be for everyone.

John’s first stock was ELAN pharmaceuticals but his favourite is Amazon. He considers whether companies will be bigger and better by the time his 5 year old daughter attends college. Amazon continually grow their business ambitions to remain a stand out market leader. John believes they will do so for decades to come.

Meet Team Rubicoin

(in alphabetical order... because we all work just as hard around here!)

Alejandro López

Head of Product

Alejandro’s favourite stock is Shopify. He likes the simplicity of the platform, especially the checkout flow for customers. He thinks that Shopify is becoming the standard in e-commerce and the company still has space for growth.

Aleš Kocur

Head of Development

Ales’s favourite stock is Pure Storage. He likes how they harness technology to perfect the smallest of details and this reminds him of another company he admires, Apple.

James Dunne

Content Specialist

James’ favorite stock is Take-Two Interactive. Although not an avid gamer, he can still remember how impressive ‘Grand Theft Auto’ was the first time he played it…and how afraid he was that his parents would catch him! Fifteen years later, Take-Two continue to redefine the boundaries of virtual entertainment.

John Sherwin

Product Designer

John Smyth

Head of Marketing

John’s first stock was Under Armour. As an avid sports fan, John has watched Under Armour shoot to prominence in recent years across a range of his favourite sports. John loves to know that he’s not just a customer of Under Armour, but an investor as well and looks forward to many more years of impressive growth ahead.

Laoise Leahy

Brand Manager

One of Laoise’s first stocks was Under Armour. It was bought as a birthday gift for her younger sister, who is a big fan of the brand and showed an interest in learning more about investing. She intends to hold this stock for her sister until her 18th birthday.

Méabh Redmond

Head of CX Design

Meabh’s first stock was Apple. She knew she wanted to start her portfolio with a bedrock and she has been fascinated with the company’s attention to detail, in everything it does, ever since she first used a Macbook as a design student.

Niall Barry

User Acquisition Manager

Niall’s favorite stock is Tesla. With his interest in the automotive industry combined with his admiration for CEO Elon Musk, it was an easy decision. Niall believes that Tesla will grow and dominate the automotive industry in the near future and he also looks forward to the day he can become a customer.

Petar Slavic

Backend Developer

Petar's favorite stock is iRobot. He believes that autonomous robots will someday be a vital part of our everyday lives. He sees robots improving our lives by providing solutions to accessibility issues, rescue efforts, and protecting us from harmful environments. And robots are fun.

Roberto Garcia

iOS Developer

Roberto’s first stock was SolarCity. He likes the idea that he can own a part of a company who cares about the Planet and that the world could be improved by using sustainable power sources. When SolarCity was acquired by Tesla, this strengthened his belief in the company, as he admires Elon Musk explorations and initiatives.

Rory Carron

Head Analyst

Rory’s first stock was The Walt Disney Company. He wanted his first stock to be one he could pass on to his children. He believes that Disney has a fantastic portfolio of intellectual property and that the movies he watched as a kid will still have a place in the world decades from now.

Sammy Odenhoven

Android Developer
